Other than taste, of course, the most important thing about Cupcakes is presentation. It's quite funny really, because you spend all this time and effort on the icing, piping and sugarpasting (is that a word?), when the majority of people just scoop the top off and eat the sponge... The nerve!
But you know what, it's okay, I'm totally okay with that, ish. The decorating is the funnest bit! Which is also why no matter where I'm going, if I'm taking Cupcakes with me, they have to be boxed. Not only does it prevent them from smushing (guaranteed not a word) in the car or on the tube, but when you arrive at your destination it makes the Cupcakes look ten times more awesome, and that's saying something!
Plus, if you manage to coordinate the colours of the Cupcakes with the box itself, well then you really just deserve a good ol' pat on the head.
